The Pea Princess' Granddaughter is the seventh episode of the first season of Regal Academy.
Synopsis[]
Bea, the new decorum teacher and granddaughter of the Princess and the Pea, threatens to fail everyone.[1]
Plot[]
The group is lounging on campus, where Astoria is looking at her notes and Travis is drawing. While drawing, Rose looks over his shoulder and observes him. He claims that girls love artistic guys who sketch outdoors. Two girls walk by and compliment the cuteness of his pet squirrel which is next to him.
Meanwhile, Astoria realizes that her team must ace the next quiz in Ceremonies Class in order to obtain a better score. One more bad grade is going to bring them trouble, since Ceremonies Class is not going well for them.
Granny Cinderella introduces the team to Bea, the granddaughter of the Pea Princess, and she is kind and gentle-natured. She will be the guest teacher for Ceremonies Class and she will be staying at Cinderella Castle during her time.
During class, Bea assumes control, but her new persona is a different to her gentleness from yesterday. She states that sensitivity is equal to kindness and she gives them their assignment. The students must lie on mattresses and tell her how many peas are inside the mattress. Rose tries the class assignment, and out of excitement, jumps up and down on the bed. This crushes the peas underneath and ruins the mattresses; thus, Bea is outraged and threatens to fail any student that so much as annoys her.
After class, Rose claims that the Pea Princess is cranky due to a poor night's rest, so they should get a better mattress for her. She is staying at the Cinderella Castle, so Rose and her team replaces the mattress.
They replace the fold-out with a hammock made of leaves, courtesy of Astoria. The next morning however, Bea is still cranky and still highly irritable. Travis provides a solution and gives her the spare bed that he has at Beast Castle. However, the bed is sentient and constantly talks. Before they exit Bea's room, Joy leaves a cup of tea behind to help her out.
As for their next plan, the team goes to town in order to get Rose's bed, which was at the repair shop. As they bring the bed back, they get caught in tornados and fall into poison ivy. The mattress also falls into the poison ivy and the cure is soothing herb, but the team does not have enough for the bed and themselves. Astoria decides to use the soothing herb on the mattress rather than themselves, so they spend the rest of the day itchy.
In the final scene of the episode, Rose admits that they attempted to give her a better night's sleep. Bea is not angry at her; rather, she is amused. She reveals that she had her own bed to sleep in the entire time. She summons a pea pod whenever she goes to sleep. There was a reason why she was cranky for the past couple of days.
On first night, Bea was merely nervous at the thought of teaching for the first time, the fault of no one. On second night, the leaves from Astoria's bed kept her awake, due to her sensitivity. This is the fault of Astoria. On third night, Travis' bed kept talking, which kept her awake. This is the fault of Travis. On fourth night, she burnt her tongue due to the cup of tea that Joy left out. On the previous night, she had an allergic reaction to soothing herb.
This means that Rose and her team made her cranky, given that she lost sleep for the past five days. However, this revelation has made her cheerful again and Rose volunteers to take the test first to make it up to her: She lies on a bed and has to guess how many peas are in the mattress. She cheats by having Gigi look under the bed and count three peas for her. She gives the right answer to Bea, and she is impressed over this, given that she is the worst student of class. However, her impression quickly ceases when Bea notices that her other team members fall asleep in class, hence they all fail the assignment and she becomes a furious again.

Mistakes[]
- Before falling in the poison ivy, when Rose was in the town talking with the pigs, her hand had the pink dots of allergy.
- Joy's cup of tea could not have burned Bea's tongue. Given the amount of time that passes between her placing it on the table and when Bea drinks it, Joy's cup of tea should have been cold, unless magic kept it warm.
- In one scene, Rose is seen wearing her uniform when she was in town.
