Beauty is the Beast is the second episode of the second season of Regal Academy.

Synopsis

The Snow Queen casts a curse on LingLing, who turns into a monster that spreads terror at Regal Academy.

Plot

The Snow Queen and her dragon Blizzard are seen flying towards to school only to slam into a barrier. She then contacts her daughter Kira through her crystal ball and tells her about how the school is now protected by a barrier of eternal spring. Kira then questions her mum if she crashed into it which she denies and tells her that she was only pushing the evil back in. Kira then introduces her mum to her new friends Vicky and Cyrus Broomstick. The Snow Queen then focuses on making a plan to destroy the Great Six Fairy Tale Families. Vicky agrees with this as they got a score a settle with the grandkids of the Great Six Fairy Tale Families. Kira then tells her mum that even if the barrier keeps her out, she and her friends will be fine. The Snow Queen suggests by starting with LingLing as she is now all alone due her teammates now being held captive in one of the Snow Queen's snow globes.

Outside the auditorium, LingLing can be seen sad about now being a team of one. Behind her, Kira summons a magic snowball and Vicky uses a magic potion on the snowball. Kira then sends the snowball flying and hits LingLing's head causing her to cry out in pain before transforming into a monster. LingLing is left shocked by the transformation but soon overcomes this as she realised she is now hungry leaving her to run around the school much to Vicky, Cyrus and Kira's delight.

Meanwhile somewhere else in the school, Rose finds Travis and tells him that she overheard her grandma and her mum that there is going to be a secret ceremony for her team.

• LingLing is temporarily turned into a hungry monster.
• LingLing joins Rose’s team.
• Rose’s team gets new regal armor.
• LingLing gets her own magic pet, a monkey named Bao.
