- Coach Beast is one of the Regal Academy's teachers and Travis' grandfather. He first appears in "A School for Fairy Tales".
Overview[]
A brash teacher always yelling at students to run a thousand laps or to do a thousand pushups. When the Headmistress has problems with someone breaking the rules he carries them off to punish them. Underneath it all, the Beast has a heart of gold and despite his macho attitude, he has a secret love for roses!
Appearance[]
Coach Beast is a thick man with a broad face, huge mouth, beastly fangs and tusks. His body is covered in grey fur with lighter fur on his face.
Personality[]
Coach Beast is a tough teacher. He is especially hard on Travis. He expects great things from his descendents and high expectations and can be horrid if these expectations are not met.
Series[]
Pre-series[]
According to his tale, the Beast was once a prince but an evil fairy cursed him to take the form of a hideous beast. All affiliated with him were also changed. The curse was broken when he earned the love of Beauty and the two married. Later, he may have chosen to become a beast again.
Season 1[]
Coach Beast greets the students with the rest of the staff in "A School for Fairy Tales".
He teaches dragon riding in "The Great Dragon Race" and introduces the students to their dragons. Later, he rescues a falling Travis and belittles him for falling, ranting about hi failing to live up to the Beast legacy.
Coach Beast appears with the other teachers at the pet ceremony in "Fairy Tale Wedding".
In "The Revenge", Travis and Rose run to him for help. His cousin seeks revenge for not being released from the Evil Fairy's spell. At first, Beast thinks the hammers chasing them is training but soon sees the truth and rescues the students and cures his cousin.
In "Attack of the Shortbread Witch", his magic is stolen along with the rest of the school's by the Shortbread Witch. He later saves his grandson from the witch's biggest cookie monster.
Magical Abilities[]
- Super Strength: Coach Beast possess physical strength superior to a human's. He can lift a boulder and withstand great amounts of damage.
